Hi y'all. Welcome to Hip City Records. Home for retired vinyl 45's, LP's and EP's. We have been operating now since around 1995 properly, but wheeling and dealing in vinyl for much longer. We specialise in 60's and northern soul and R'n'B but have something to satisfy most tastes. Rock 'n' Roll / Jazz / Folk / Psychedelia / Punk & Indie / 50's & 60's pop and beat - we get it all. So send us your want lists - we may be able to help. We do a mail order catalogue about every 6 weeks which is purely 60's soul, R'nB, northern and club sounds. If you want to go on the mail out contact us. Either send an S.A.E. or I.R.C. for a list or £2 for a years worth of lists. We don't e-mail these lists as a lot of long standing customers don't have e-mail. However we do send occasional e-mail lists separately. We also collect records - especially 60's soul so e-mail us if you have anything to sell. Single items or collections always required. Or see our personal wants list. Rob does a bit of Djing when he can. In fact he has DJed on the mod scene for years and on and off at Northern soul events to all over Europe. Regular clubs include "Almost Grown" - 1st Friday of the month at Saks winebar on Clifftown Rd, Southend on sea, Essex. We mix it all up there - 60's soul, jazz, R'n'B and pop. Always a packer, and fun night out. £5 on the door. He's also spinning at The Big Club on the 3rd Sunday of the month - soul and R'n'B.
